About the Author – Tony Everitt
Tony was a UK police officer for 30 years serving to the rank of Detective Inspector. He was involved in CID work, and investigated most types of serious crime. He then worked for 14 years with the UK Government in National Security Vetting, before retiring in 2018. The book explains how Tony and Tom met, and how their friendship developed. Despite having met so many people, (both the good and the bad of society), Tony considers Tom Short to be one of the most interesting characters he has encountered.
Tony and his wife Glenis have lived for almost 50 years in Milton Keynes, North Buckinghamshire. He is very familiar with the area and its history.
